travels:

I never thought I'd go too far away from Fairport but much to everyone's surprise, I've traveled all over the world with the optics companies I've been with over the past 16 years...here are a few:

  • People's Republic of China

  • Thailand

  • South Korea

  • Japan

  • Hong Kong

  • Singapore

  • Germany

  • Switzerland

  • France

  • Middle East (Cyprus)

  • Italy

  • Venezuela

  • Ecuador

  • Mexico

I loved Thailand, China, Singapore...Was very ill in Ecuador (bad food!), was scared for my safety in Venezuela, went to the DMZ in South Korea, and trained Middle Eastern microscope distributors in Cyprus (very odd gathering of people from Iran, Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Greece). I am always so happy to come home to the US!

I was recently married (at age 40) for the first time. I was able to travel, work on my career and live on my own until I met Rick. Now I have no regrets, and I look forward to spending our life together and having fun as a couple!
