FAIRPORT HIGH SCHOOL - CLASS OF 1980 - 25TH REUNION |
|
Who have we become?
It has been two and a half decades since most of those kids in our high school yearbooks left Fairport High School. A lot of time. So, who have those kids become? Well, if you read our updated bios, you'll find that ....
We have become ... husbands and wives, mothers and fathers, aunts and uncles, friends and neighbors.
We have traveled extensively, we have lived abroad, we have moved back to Fairport after years and years away.
We have become ... teachers and councilors, ministers and civic leaders.
We serve our communities on the police force and as firefighters.
We have become ... doctors and lawyers, business professionals and homemakers.
We have needed the care of others and we have become caretakers ourselves.
We have struggled with diseases and injustices and we have held newborn babies and all that they promise in the palms of our hands.
We have been uplifted by the generosity of others and we have been broken-hearted by the loss of a parent, a sibling, a spouse and a child.
We have been married and divorced, we have loved and we have lost. We have rediscovered old friends and we have remembered those we have lost.
We have become engineers and scientists. We have served as some of our country's finest.
But through all of that, with all that we've become, we all remember Fairport and our school friends in one way or another.
Some with fondness ... some not. For some of us it was the very best of times ... for others it was a time gladly left behind.
in one way or another, come back to the one thing that we all have in common.
A shared place and a shared time. Shared classes and teams, stumbles and successes.
We revisit one another at this time, twenty-five years later, to remember who we were, to recognize where we've been, and to share with one another who we've become.
For more of who we have become ...
