Class of 1980 Reunion

Our Memories of Greg ...
In 1967 my family moved from Toronto, Canada into a brand new house in a developing neighborhood in Fairport, NY. The Stephens were our neighbors. Greg was my first friend and schoolmate K-12. We played together, occasionally tussled together, stood at the bus stop together; we grew up together. Because of the sequence of letters in our last names he sat behind me in homeroom and our lockers were next to each other. When I met Greg again at each of our reunions I saw that the qualities he had in his youth were still there only more so. He was gentle, calm, and friendly with an easy manner and a ready warm smile.

I will miss my good friend Greg. We always talked for hours after our kids were born. I can still see his face at the race track and pick out his distinct skiing style on the slope. Greg was a outstanding husband and father. Rest in peace, my friend.

Greg- I can remember all the way back to 3rd grade(prehistoric times!) when your mom brought the brand new 'Three Dog Night' album with 'Joy To The World' to class for us to listen to. And later on in high school, you were one to break the mold by driving a Monte Carlo, instead of the usual Chevelle, Firebird, or Camaro.

But I think what I'll remember most is our 25th reunion. We can't know what lies in the future, and the dangers looming on the horizon. You are one who stands with courage and bravery, with calmness and an upbeat view on life. That is the essence of what kings are made of; and if I cover my eyes with a hand, you are indeed a 'crowned one'. May peace be with you and yours.

This is Greg's sister, Denise ---- I enjoyed looking the FHS 1980 website --I recognize so many faces and names. I was especially grateful to see the tributes, pictures and memories of Greg. We miss him terribly. Thanks to everyone for their support and wishes!!!!!
