Add your memories of Dave with My Memories Form.
I think if Dave had stayed around, he'd probably be a strong activist in the Green Party. Probably know Ralph Nader.

His bright red hair and a great sense of humor!
Before they banned dodge ball in schools, Dave Harris could hurt you with one. When we did play the game, I either ended up on his team or Mike Roberts' team. He use to stand at the mid-point line and throw it with all his might. His red hair would just whip around so fast. You didn't want to get nailed with a dodge ball thrown by David Harris, it would really hurt you.

I have quite a few (memories of Dave), so I'll mention my fondest. At a party/bonfire at Powder Mill Park he came up behind me and put his arms around me. I was elated because I secretly had a mad crush on him. He later came to my house where he proceeded to play my dad's guitar to me while singing one of his favorite "YES" tunes to me. We, of course, made out. Other than that he was quite the gentleman!! His death was so devastating to me. The first friend's funeral I ever attended. It affected my life for quite some time. He was a very special person who will be truly missed and in our thoughts forever! I'm very surprised that the amount of people that were at his services there are only three of us who dare to share our memories. Live On!! -- Chris Grinnell - submitted December 12, 2002
Dave was a good friend. He was just that kind of guy. I hung out with him quite a bit in those days, as did John Antonucci, Debbie Antonucci, Steve Elliot and all of the PKO boys. Dave was a very kind and giving person, who actually saved my life one night after I had a "wee too much to drink" (which was usually the case). His death affected us all, and I was never quite the same after that. We had a name for him, "Redford" which referred to his bright red hair. He was the kind of guy that would go out of his way for anybody. I will never forget him, his friendship and generosity. He was such a giving and caring person. -- Bob Welch - submitted May 31, 2003
