Add your memories of Jeff with My Memories Form.
I talked to Jeff every morning for years. He sat right in front of me in Homeroom (Crane, Cronin), and I'm thankful for that Relationship. Jeff was a straight forward, loyal friend, and I have many found memories of times with him. I'll share two:
Like any good friend, he could be crafty... At his home one night, he began teaching a few of us how to chop wood from a large pile in his back yard. He talked about having to get through it himself the next day, but a pretty good portion was nicely stacked by end of that evening.
He was the leader of our "Tire Bragade"...He taught several of us how to "lace tires" (the art of stacking tires efficiently) one night. This allowed us to get some 60 or so tires into a pickup truck, so we could let them go from the top of the High School Side Hill into a gym class the next day.
I haven't seen or talked to Jeff in a long time, but I'll continue to always smile when I think of him.-- submitted by Chris Cronin - December 27, 2006
It has been a long time since I have lived in Rochester (1989) and did not realize Jeff and Mark had pizzerias. I am certain that if me and my family lived in Rochester Mark's Pizzerias would be at the top of our list. I remember Jeff as one of the truly genuine people at Fairport High. It didn't matter who you were, Jeff was nice to all. It is people like Jeff that made High School such an enjoyable time in my life. I am sadden to hear of his death and my thoughts and prayers are with his family.
God Bless you Jeff.-- Submitted by Mike Roberts - December 27, 2006
Jeff and I were very close from 7th grade through our junior year of high school. Along with Vince Orlandini and Rich Schlosser we would spend endless hours together during those years. Many of which at Perinton Park or along the canal on whatever home made mini bike contraption Jeff was riding at the time. He was a heck of a mechanic before I ever knew what a carburetor was or where it was. If I had to pick one word to describe Jeff it would be "tough." He was probably the toughest guy I've ever known. We lost touch shortly after high school and news of his passing came as a complete shock to me. I'll never forget Jeff and the memories he gave me. They were all good. Thanks Jeff.

It's hard to believe Jeff has been gone for over a year now. I knowsome close friends of his still find it unreal. First, I want to say what a down-to-earth likeable guy Jeff Crane was.He never expected anything in return for the kindness he gave to others. Jeff and I went to our Senior prom together, along with Kelly & Zekeand Lisa & Lou (we went to Hedges for dinner and Jeff was truly a gentleman).Jeff wore a blue suit with light blue shirt that made his gentle blue eyes sparkle.I remember complimenting him and he just took it in stride, never lettingthings go to his head. The following day we attended the Senior picnic, so,you might say the fun lasted for 48 hrs. One of the other greatest memories I have of Jeff was him visiting Geneseo. He and Jon West used to visit quite often, but one night in particular standsout in my mind: Zeke, Jon & Jeff found me up town to see if I wanted to goto see the Rolling Stones concert in Buffalo!!! I went wild and was jumpingall around in disbelief that we were going the next morning. Tracy S, Jon,Zeke, Jeff, Bobby and I packed up and drove to Rich Stadium and sawthe Stones!!! It was a huge show (tickets were only $15 - I still have the stub)and we all had an outstanding time! Jeff, you were truly a gentleman and are missed more than you will everrealize. Farewell, my friend and may we meet again.-- submitted by Julie Clapp (Walker) - February 11, 2008I remember that Jeff could always make everyone laugh and the times messing with cars when we were not even old enough to drive. This was many years ago back in the 70's. I was very sad to hear that he passed away and my thoughts go out to his family. He will always be remembered be myself as a great kid. -- submitted by Brian Zicari - March 24, 2008
