Mrs. Murphy Inducted
to
FHS Wall
of Fame!
After graduating in 1945,
Barbara Murphy returned to
FHS in 1960 to teach English for the next 25 years. During those years, she
positively influenced future generations of Fairport youth. After high
school, she continued her education at Grove City College and earned her
master’s degree at the University of Rochester. Beyond the classroom, she
was proud of her community and found ways to help make it better for
everyone through membership on the Village Zoning Board and Future
Development Committee. At her death in 2002, Mrs. Murphy was fondly
remembered by teachers, students, and community.

This same former classmate also offers us a memory of one of our
remembered classmates and
has chosen to share one of his pieces of art on the painting & graphics
page of our Homework

The first classmate to post a bio waaaay back
in late January of 2002 has offered an update. And what a year 2002 was for
him! A change of jobs, a change of cities, a change of marital status ...

This first in what will hopefully be a round of
re-updates brings up a great point. It's been almost a year since we began
this project together. Our first anniversary is coming up fast. So much can
happen in a year. Why not tell us about it? You can easily submit a
updated bio at any time. And, while you're
at it, why not send us your favorite photo of yourself?
