Rumor has it that quite a
number of our classmates can regularly be found at the newly renovated
Flaherty's Three Flags Inn in Macedon on Thursday evenings. Drop in then and you're
likely to find D.M., V.O., A.L., and B.B. just in from the greens! And,
don't be surprised if you find L.B. there, too.
Do you have a regular hang
out with high school classmates? If so,
let us know and we'll post
it here -- maybe you'll find a growing group of classmates there next
time...

Two new entries in our "links
& lists" section: an FHS80 contact list based on the submitted updates
in
web format,
CSV format
(comma separated values) and as an
Excel spreadsheet.
-
With Excel and CSV formats, you may be able to
display the list right in your browser if you have excel installed on your
computer. If not, right-click and select "save target as..." (On the Mac
Platform, do an option-click) CSV format is great for importing into contact
managers or databases.

This
site is expanding. We've already outgrown our initial disk space (thanks in
large part to a 4K block size but I won't get too technical on you) and
we've had to add more space on the web server. It's likely that in the next
month or two we'll be switching web providers to gain even more disk space
and other nice features at a more competitive price.

This
site is now listed in the
Open Directory Project, "the largest and most comprehensive human-edited
directory of the Web."

This
is important because of the large number of portals and search engines which
use ODP data. This includes some of the Web's most heavily trafficked sites
such as AOL,
AskJeeves,
Netscape,
Hotbot,
ATT and others. This
should give us some great exposure though it will take some time (perhaps
weeks or months) for these sites to pick up the ODP data.
