For those classmates that have siblings in the class of 1979, this message is for you.
Can you pass this site onto them and encourage, entice or even coerce them

This is by far the most impressive FHS web site. I only wish we had a webmaster for our class. Al Saquella, '79
Unsure as to whether this is correct form to use but I will try to be brief.
Hello from Vern Mininger. I would have been class of '80 grad had we not moved to Pfafftown NC in Apr '79. I attended classes with you all from Jan '77 and am submitting this form as I feel like a man w/out a history. After much searching thru this site I am unable to find a picture nor mention of my name anywhere please feel free to contact me @ your earliest convenience as I wish to get in touch so to speak. Its been many years and we are not getting any younger (something my Dad used to say). I can be reached at vmininger@triad.rr.com and Thank You for this great site. Tis all for now.

Happy New Year Classmates!
Has it been that many years
Since we roamed school halls and city parks
Oblivious to all things adult,
And a time when we would smile and say,
"I remember when..."
I feel like I've reconnected w/ family and I like it. I live in southern California and welcome hearing from you.

Hi Class of 1980! My name is Thomas P. Quinn and I went to Fairport schools from seventh grade until Jan. of my senior year(1980). I was wondering if I could possibly be invited to the 25 reunion? Thanks! Tom

Finally, be sure to send an email to webmaster@fairport1980.com so that we can notify you if and when something develops! Many thanks!

Hey everyone,
This site sure takes me back to the good old days. It might interest everyone to know
that I recently graduated from SUNY Oswego with a masters in Art Education. I never thought that would happen way back when, and I sure never thought that I would want to be a teacher. Now I see what our teachers had to put up with. Someone up there has a big sense of humor. I was supposed to graduate in 1979, but as many of you and our teachers knew back then, I was a bit of a classroom management and
discipline problem. I spent more time in Mr. Cooks office than the classroom, and subsequently got the boot out the door. Needless to say I grew up and dropped back in. I
received my BFA in 2000, (better late than never), and then went on to get my masters. Talk about irony, I just finished student teaching seventh grade art students WOW!
Do you believe in Karma? I have to apologize to all the faculty at FHS for everything I put them through.
God Bless You All,
Bob Welch (Lokan)

What a super site!! I just moved back to the area after 18 years on the West Coast. Ran into John Diggins at Target and he told me about this site. The flashbacks are killing me!!! I am looking forward to reconnecting with some long forgotten friends. What a great welcoming home for me!! Thanks so much and look for my info soon -- One less 'missing' from 1980. Todd:
Major kudos to you! You have definitely put your heart and soul (time, money and the wear and tear of your fingertips) into this website. It's been nice getting the "4-1-1". This site has helped me find a few people that I lost touch with 10 years ago. (I've also made a new friend or two as a result of the site being up. Dave Laws, I hope you read that.) Your talent and hard work show. I'll pass the word along that the site exists. Thanks!
Todd- Wow!!! Truly amazing job. Made me think about folks I haven't seen in years. Keep up the great work. I'll forward any addresses I have of missing people to you.
Kind regards,
07 Apr 2002 - 04:05 PMTodd-Thank you for contacting me about this web site. You have done a great job!! I can't believe how quickly time goes by and what great memories I have of my 22 years at FHS. "Once a Raider, Always a Raider" Coach Santini
Hello FHS class of '80. This is Mark Johnson, a.k.a. MOUSE. I am alive and well and living in Webster. Feel free to give me a shout at markj6@yahoo.com
This site is fantastic. I was told about it by another classmate, Dorothy Courtney. If anyone is looking for her send me an EMail. I'll do my best to make her life miserable by giving you her home and cell numbers, her criminal record and details of all her extra-marital activities.
WOW! Great job on the sight. It was a lot of fun going through these pages, seeing all those faces and reliving the many great times. Seems like yesterday! Thanks so much for the memories and laughs. Lisa Abbott-Cisco
What a great website!!!!!!!!! Great Job to all the contributors, I love it.
There was discussion at the 20th reunion that Kathy Bingham was going to put together a web page. I just stumbled across this web page when I received an email update from Betsy Englehart Martin and noticed the webmaster@fairport1980.com email address. What a terrific job! Thanks to everyone for their effort and contributions!
It was disappointing to click on the "Statistics" section and see only 27 names on the updated graduation list compared to the 500+ that graduated in 1980. I was one of the guilty missing, but not anymore. Spread the word so we can keep in touch with each other.
It looks like a lot of people still live in or near Fairport. How about an annual informal gathering at Thanksgiving, Christmas and/or the summer time for those that travel back to visit family and friends? Seems silly to wait every ten years to say hello to friends.
Thanks again for all the hard work, on the reunions as well as the web page. Hope to hear from others soon.
Greg Beck - Flanders, NJ
WM: Greg's got a good idea here, folks! The Reunions Page
isn't just for past reunions ... it can also be to announce upcoming
reunions or informal gatherings. Just let us know and we'll post
the announcement!
This is absolutely awesome! This is what we've needed for years. Lots of great information, organized beautifully and easy to get around. Thanks Todd. Great job.
What an awesome website! For those of you who remember me from the class of 82, pls. get in touch!
Julie Foster-Lombart FHS Class of 82 - Julie.Lombart@Excellus.com
We really do have a regal class. This is a very complete website, kudos to the webmaster:-)
Great job. I know this is a huge undertaking for you, and requires a lot of time and effort. I appreciate you putting this together for our class.
What a brilliant web site! What a walk down memory lane. Man, we are getting old. However, I remember High School like it was the other day. I honestly do not know how I ever survived my High School years. I look back and think of all the crazy things I did. What was I thinking? I remember painting for College Pro Painting on summer break. My other painting "pros" were
Bob Arao and
Doug Firth. What a team! I had the best time that summer. We were always given all the tough houses to paint. Houses like the Asst. D.A of Rochester, Funeral Home in Penfield and many other poor home owner's who thought they were getting a good deal. We always fought who would have to climb the ladder to reach all the high areas. I somehow, was usually elected. To this day, I am petrified of heights. I wonder why? We had a blast though! It was a constant comedy of errors. We laughed our butts off that whole summer.
I was looking through the Yearbooks and I think the women look better to me today, than when I was in School with them. I saw some pictures of the 20 year reunion and I must say, the women have aged much better than the guys. No offense. Of course, I always had a thing for women. The class of 1980 had some "knock outs". Well, better go now, I hear my wife coming up the stairs. I'm in big trouble now if she catches me talking about the beautiful girls we had in High School. Just kiddin, she knows me well enough to know I was a big flirt back then. Heck, I still am.
Bye for now. Hello to everyone out there. I miss you all, or as they say in Texas, y'all. -- David Laws
Thanks for putting together a living memory book. Mary Pelletier DiMuro
Great Job!!! I hope you get more classmates' info so I can find people I haven't seen in 20+ years. Thanks for all the work, webmaster. Tracy Anderson Harris
